Use Ask Clasp by text or voice
Ask for records, draft work, first-time setup help, and supported customer communications.
Open the assistant
Sign in to the intended Clasp workspace, then choose Ask Clasp in the website header. On a phone, the native app's Ask Clasp on the web link opens this same web experience and may ask you to sign in again. It is not an offline native assistant.
Type a request in ordinary language, such as “find tomorrow's visits,” “create a job for this customer,” or “prepare an invoice draft.” Include enough information to identify the correct record, but never include a password, verification code, access token, payment-card number, or information from another workspace.
What Ask Clasp can help with
The current web assistant can:
- find customers, service requests, jobs, visits, technicians, estimates, and invoices;
- create a customer, request, or job and schedule a visit;
- prepare estimate and invoice drafts;
- draft customer text and prepare supported estimate, invoice, or SMS delivery;
- guide an owner or admin through finite first-time onboarding.
Creating a job does not schedule it. Creating an estimate or invoice creates a draft and does not send it. A queued communication is not proof that the provider delivered it.
First-time onboarding
During initial setup, Ask Clasp can collect business-profile fields, draft editable estimate or invoice terms, prepare Privacy/Terms/SMS opt-in wording, and save texting-application facts. Review business and legal wording for your actual company before using it.
Those setup tools save drafts only. They do not publish a website, record a customer's SMS consent, order a number, activate a provider, or submit a texting application. When onboarding is completed, those onboarding write tools are permanently removed; later settings maintenance belongs in the normal Clasp screens.
Voice
Choose the voice control when it is available for your workspace and browser. Eligible trial access includes up to five voice minutes. After that allowance, voice availability depends on the current voice plan; text access is separate.
Voice can discuss work and search authorized records. For a change, it hands the request back to the visible assistant so the exact details can be reviewed. Do not assume a record changed based only on spoken acknowledgement.
Sending a customer communication
Estimate email, invoice email, and SMS use a preview followed by the matching final-send action. Check the recipient, record, totals or balance, and complete rendered message. The server rechecks role, current record version, provider readiness, recipient eligibility, and—for SMS—consent and STOP state.
If the preview is stale or does not match, ask for a new preview. “Queued” means Clasp accepted the work for delivery processing; check Notifications for a later authoritative status.
Actions that still use Clasp screens
Ask Clasp does not delete or archive records, import a customer CSV, collect or refund money, change security or team settings, configure providers or integrations, publish a business site, or perform bulk sends. Use the corresponding Clasp screen or contact support.
If a simple greeting or record request returns an error, reload once, confirm the correct workspace is selected, and try a specific request. If it still fails, report the approximate time and visible error to Clasp support without including customer data.
